Growth, success or failure?
What do you plan for in business and why?
As I’ve said before, if you’re running a business, you are a salesperson.
Every business plans for development, sales and growth and even charities have marketing directors these days, even if all they do is manage fund raising activities. It’s still sales, ideas, identity and buy in, fundamentally all sales and marketing are the same.
Businesses will sometimes plan for disaster, because from a health and safety point of view they need to look after their employees and if the worst happens, say a major fire, they need to get everyone out and account for them, but so often that’s where it ends, with a roll call in a courtyard or across the road on the green. What happens next?
How do you recover your business after a major incident?
Here are some things to consider:
- Who will physically rebuild it?
- What will your customers and suppliers do and how will they act?
- Where will you source equipment and machinery?
- How will you manage the press?
- Who will do all these things?
These are all things to think about and more importantly plan for, and we can help you with a full business continuity plan.
